The Restoration Workshop provides a wide range of  conservation and restoration services including wood turning, carving, veneering, marquetry, color matching, French and wax polishing.

All work is carried out using traditional cabinet making techniques and materials while giving close attention to detail. Repairs and replacements are carefully selected to match the color, character and reflectivity of the original material as closely as possible.

Old period timber and original finished surfaces are used where possible so that damaged pieces can be seamlessly restored. Repairs are colored using natural pigments and dyes and finished appropriately with waxes or french polish to maintain the integrity of the original piece.

Bevan works closely with other specialised craftspeople such as upholsterers and gilders whenever necessary to offer a full service.

Additionally he offers a service making bespoke furniture pieces by hand, whether you require a replica or an original design.
